Poet David Whyte noted that work is “the place where the self meets the world.” It’s a potent reminder that work should be meaningful, should align with our talents, and can impact ourselves and others.
I’ve always been drawn to helping people thrive. In middle school, I had a habit of giving unexpected gifts to the people closest to me. I’d take a picture frame, customize it based on what I knew about them, then add a quote to inspire them.
It stuck.
Years later, as an HR Director, I created policies and programs that drove business goals and created an exceptional employee experience. I designed recruitment processes, selected and trained hiring teams, and recruited exceptional talent. But, most importantly, I learned what makes people thrive.
Then, my company was sold, and I was tasked with helping people who weren’t moving on to find jobs. I worked with them individually, exploring strengths, goals, values, and opportunities. I revamped resumes, built confidence, and positioned people for success.
It lit me up.
Today, I‘m the Founder of Bliss Careers, a company dedicated to helping people create careers they love.
I help people at the start of their careers and established professionals become aware of their values, clarify their goals, identify and explore their possibilities, and develop self-trust and confidence. I help them align their resume, job search, and interview presence to accurately and fully reflect their strengths, passions, goals, and dreams.
I believe that self-awareness, curiosity, and creativity serve as the gateways to discovering new possibilities and maximizing our opportunities.
I empower my clients to break free from conventional thinking, question assumptions, and uncover inventive solutions, so that they can create a career and life that they love.
